Which current Red reminds Ole of himself?

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken part in a fans’ Q&A session ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with West Ham United.

Earlier in the week we asked you, the fans, to submit your questions to the boss in a slightly different twist on his usual pre-match interview with club media, and you certainly didn’t disappoint.

We had over 3,500 entries from supporters which were whittled down to just 19 that we posed to the Norwegian. Thanks for sending in your submissions and congrats to those lucky few who were selected.

Among them was Amil S from the UK, who asked Ole an absolute cracker of a question: Which player reminds you of yourself, as a United player?

“Good question! Thanks Amil for that,”
said the boss, who thoroughly enjoyed the Q&A.

“There are so many things. It depends on if it’s the mentality, the attitude. Is it the technical attributes? I’d like to think that Mason [Greenwood] is the one who reminds me about myself the most, as a finisher and goalscorer.

“We should have had a competition me and him to see who is the most accurate finisher!”
The boss was also asked by George CC from the UK, about the Manchester United DNA and what are the most important things that make up our footballing DNA?

“Very good question, George,”
Ole answered. “He seems like a real United fan who is inquisitive and wants to know more about us.

“For me, the core value is to be a good person; to be hungry, to learn, to be humble and hard-working but also be able to express your talent.

“You know, we want to play fast, attacking football with players who enjoy football, not afraid of anything, show courage to go and showcase that skill that so many of our fans pay to come and watch every Saturday or Wednesday. So, be positive, show your skills but always work hard.”

That was just a little flavour of what you can expect from the boss and we’ll be bringing you all 19 answers from the boss over Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to check out ManUtd.com and the Official App to hear every response from the boss and see if your question has made the cut.
