Sang in pre-deadline move to AFC Fylde

Tom Sang has moved from Manchester United to AFC Fylde on loan ahead of the deadline, ensuring a first piece of transfer business between the two clubs.

The versatile midfielder will spend the remainder of the season at the National League side and compete for a place in manager Dave Challinor’s line-up.

Sang will get a taste of first-team football at AFC Fylde.

Ambitious Fylde are currently in fourth spot in the division, four points behind leaders Leyton Orient, and striving for promotion to League Two. The Lancashire side played a friendly against a young Reds side in July, 2009. Tom Cleverley and Sam Hewson scored in a 2-1 victory for the United XI, managed by current caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Sang, 19, is a member of Ricky Sbragia’s Under-23s squad and has also gained European experience in the UEFA Youth League in the past.

Everybody wishes Tom well for his time at Mill Farm as he takes a first step into senior football.
