Vote for Player of the Month

The time has to come to decide Manchester United's Player of the Month for March.

Michael Carrick's side had four matches across this period, in the Premier League, winning two of them, at home to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

On the road, we lost 2-1 to Newcastle United and drew 2-2 at Bournemouth, last time out.

There were a number of contenders for the three-man shortlist, with Casemiro, Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes getting the nod.

Benjamin Sesko, February's winner, narrowly missed out and there were also nominations for Senne Lammens, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro.

Read our summary of this month's contributions and please cast your vote using the poll.

The result will be announced on Saturday.

Poll: Who is March's Player of the Month?

CASEMIRO - 4 apps / 2 goals

The evergreen midfielder enjoyed the adulation from the Old Trafford crowd after a superb display helped earn three vital points against Villa in the chase for a place in next season's UEFA Champions League.

His clever header, from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick, repeated the trick pulled off at Newcastle United, as he scored in consecutive games for the second time this season.

A dominant influence, he played the full 90 minutes against Palace and Villa and is so important to the cause, with his experience rubbing off on others.

MATHEUS CUNHA - 4 apps / 1 goal

The Brazil forward has been in good form, showing his ability to unlock defences with his individual flair. He scored once in March, calmly converting Fernandes's pass to regain the lead in the key clash with Villa.

It is also pointing out he has twice been fouled to earn penalties. Firstly, against Palace, when Maxence Lacroix's pull also led to a red card for the France defender. Last Friday, his expert control and burst into the box led to his shirt being tugged by Alex Jimenez, with the referee again pointing to the spot.

A useful indicator of his value is the fact that, across the period, he played all but the last eight minutes and stoppage time at Bournemouth and, with the Reds reduced to 10 men at that stage, there were mitigating circumstances for that withdrawal.

Voting now open for March's Goal of the Month

BRUNO FERNANDES - 4 apps / 2 goals / 4 assists / 3 Man of the Match

It is no surprise that our Portuguese magnifico must be considered a strong favourite to land the Tiger-sponsored trophy.

The skipper seems to be getting better and better, has become a shoo-in for every Fantasy Premier League team and his creativity stats are flying off the charts.

Two assists in the Villa victory ensured a record for a Premier League season for a Red, overtaking Sir David Beckham's tally in 1999/2000, and he has kept his cool to dispatch penalties against Palace and Bournemouth.

Voted star performer after each of our positive results across the month, and setting up Casemiro's goal in the defeat at Newcastle, he is clearly an outstanding candidate.
