Digital Soccer School: Episodes 3 & 4 out now

The quickfire, fun tutorials are hosted by movement director AK and feature coaches from our Academy demonstrating the best ways to practise the skills and techniques mastered by our first-team players.

Youngsters up to the age of 16 who have signed up to our Junior Membership scheme for 2023/24 are able to watch the videos via an exclusive link sent by email.

The series began with lessons in long and short-range finishing, as regularly exhibited on the pitch by Marcus Rashford and Leah Galton.

In the next two episodes, the focus turns to the art of distribution and how to get the better of defenders in one-on-one situations.

Nobody exemplifies the latter like Alejandro Garnacho and coach Stu Leicester spends time with AK at the start of the episode analysing the Argentinian’s goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in May.

Stu says: “Changing direction and a change of speed are really important when you’re dribbling because you want to either freeze or unbalance the defender, so that you can get an extra yard to cross, shoot or pass the ball.”

He then sets AK up with two drills to hone the skill and reveals the best way to shoot once you’ve outwitted your opponent, before the episode ends with a quick summary of the lessons learned.
