Every United Women Goal of the Season winner

Ella Toone is the current holder of Manchester United Women's Goal of the Season trophy, an award voted for annually by our supporters.

Tooney had four efforts on our 2023/24 shortlist but it was her cup-final classic against Tottenham that was chosen as the pick of the bunch - the opening goal in a 4-0 win that helped us secure our first piece of major women's silverware.

Hannah Blundell pinched possession in the left-back area and, after Katie Zelem and Lisa Naalsund had moved the ball through our half, Toone took over on the halfway line. Our no.7 raced towards the edge of the penalty area and dropped a shoulder to avoid the slide of Eveliina Summanen, before bending the ball beyond goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer and into the top corner.

It means both of the prize's victorious strikes to date have come in matches against north London opposition, after Alessia Russo won the inaugural iteration in 2022/23 for her 90th-minute winner away to Arsenal.

The Reds had previously trailed 2-1 but looked to have salvaged a point at the Emirates Stadium through Millie Turner's leveller, five minutes before Russo met Zelem's floated corner from the right.

Alessia powered a header into the turf and inside the near post to complete an extraordinary turnaround with a goal voted as our fans' favourite for the term.
