Most of the noise has been around who will we face at the beginning of the 2025/26 term, although little has been made of the run-in, as it seems so far off.
Who knows just what the Reds will be fighting for come the back end of April and May next year, with Ruben Amorim no doubt preparing his side for what we all hope is a much-improved showing.
When we last opened against Arsenal
There was certainly a lot going on when we last faced Arsenal in a top-flight opener...
Our last seven fixtures make for particularly interesting viewing, given we are pencilled in to face Leeds United in or around 11 April, on home turf.
The following week, it's a trip to Chelsea, before back-to-back home games against Brentford and arch-rivals Liverpool on 25 April and 2 May respectively.
With the Bees yet to appoint a new head coach following Thomas Frank's move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, it will be interesting to see how the Bees shape up following the Dane's exit.
Next comes a trip to the Stadium of Light to face newly promoted Sunderland, which will mark our first visit to the north-east ground since 2017.
The Reds won 3-0 that day with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford all finding the net eight years ago.
Our final home game and penultimate outing of the 2025/26 season sees us host Nottingham Forest, a side United will be looking to seek revenge over.
The East Midlands outfit won both home and away against United in 2024/25, so getting back to winning ways will be paramount against Nuno Espirito Santo's men.
Finally, mirroring our end to the 2023/24 campaign, we will travel to the south coast on the final day, facing off against Brighton & Hove Albion on 24 May.
Diogo Dalot and Rasmus Hojlund scored on a blazing hot day, in a 2-0 win, with Erik ten Hag leading United to Emirates FA Cup glory, just six days later against Manchester City at Wembley.
