How United fans reacted to the win over Forest
“This is the Manchester United that has always captured my heart.”
That is just one of our supporters’ positive comments on social media following the incredible 3-2 comeback win against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday.
With four minutes on the clock, it looked like it could turn into a long afternoon for Erik ten Hag’s side, with Forest two goals up through Taiwo Awoniyi’s breakaway finish and Willy Boly’s header.
But United responded defiantly.

The Reds peppered the visitors’ goal with wave after wave of attacks rippling down the pitch towards the Stretford End.
Christian Eriksen halved the deficit before the break, flicking Marcus Rashford’s low cross beyond Matt Turner, before a wonderfully-worked free-kick routine provided an opportunity for Casemiro to level the score in the second half.
The Brazilian duly obliged and, after Forest had been reduced to 10 men for Joe Worrall taking down Bruno Fernandes when our skipper was through on goal, Danilo tripped Rashford in the box.
Bruno stepped up to take the resulting spot-kick and made no mistake to complete our biggest comeback of the Ten Hag era.
