United's Portugese playmaker believes that Pogba can still reach another level.

Maguire’s defensive partner and new Sweden captain Victor Lindelof referred to the afternoon as 'magical', as he noted how much the fans had been missed, while Luke Shaw was overjoyed with the noise inside the stadium too.

Shaw was an instrumental part of United’s threat down the left-hand side and formed a solid defence showing in the second 45 too.

It was also a terrific afternoon for Paul Pogba, with the France midfielder registering four assists - becoming the first United player to do so in the Premier League era.

Summer signing Jadon Sancho made his Manchester United debut from the substitutes bench and he tweeted his admiration for the link-up between Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

The Reds next game is an away trip to Southampton next Sunday in a 14:00 BST kick off.
