United team to face Hammers announced

Erik ten Hag has selected his Manchester United side to face West Ham United today (14:00 GMT kick-off).

The Reds are looking to build on Thursday's exciting victory at Wolves, knowing three points would take Ten Hag's team above David Moyes's Hammers in the Premier League table.

With another club currently higher in the standings next up, Aston Villa in a week's time, there is an opportunity to really make up ground.

There is good news regarding Lisandro Martinez, as the centre-back retains his place despite his foot needing to be strapped at Molineux, after he was substituted.

However, the Argentina international will have a different partner, as Harry Maguire replaces Raphael Varane, who is on the bench.

That is the only change to the team that started the victory on Thursday night.

Sofyan Amrabat, back from Africa Cup of Nations duty with Morocco, and Victor Lindelof, fit again after an operation, are also among the substitutes.

West Ham recall Nayef Aguerd, after his stay with Amrabat in the Ivory Coast, but new arrival Kalvin Phillips moves to the bench. The other alteration to the XI that drew with Bournemouth is Vladimir Coufal, free from suspension, in for Konstantinos Mavropanos.
