Atletico Madrid kick-off time changed

Tuesday 05 July 2022 09:30

Manchester United’s pre-season fixture against Atletico Madrid at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo will now kick off at 12:45 BST as opposed to the initially scheduled 13:00 BST.

The match, which will take place on Saturday 30 July, will see Erik ten Hag’s side compete against the team that knocked United out of the Champions League last season.

Diego Simeone’s Atletico represent the perfect test for the Dutchman’s Reds, in the fifth outing of our pre-season campaign.

In the two weeks prior to this fixture, United play Liverpool in Bangkok, Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace in Melbourne, and also face off against Aston Villa in Perth.

In addition, the Reds are set to host Spanish side Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford just one day after facing Atletico in Oslo. It is expected that players who face Simeone’s side will not feature in the Vallecano clash, but it will be the first opportunity for Reds supporters to see Ten Hag in the home dugout at the Theatre of Dreams.

De Gea: We can’t wait for Tour

David says the Reds are looking forward to seeing our overseas supporters again during the upcoming pre-season trip.

Tour 2022 gets under way this Friday, when United’s players and staff fly to Bangkok to begin preparations for the first pre-season match against Liverpool.

All of our Tour 2022 fixtures will be shown live on MUTV, which is now available on and the United App.

In addition to the matches, exclusive behind-the-scenes access will also be shown across our channels, giving supporters an insight into what the preparatory period looks like for the club.
