United Women in Germany: Day Five
It’s the penultimate day for Manchester United Women here in Herzogenaurach and once again the sun has been shining.
An extra-long training session on the pitch and in the gym meant the players had a well-deserved rest this afternoon.
The team made the most of the facilities at our adidas headquarters base, using the basketball, padel and tennis courts to relax.

FRIDAY'S FOCUS
Today’s pitch session saw the team working hard on passing and shooting exercises as we continued our pre-season preparations.
The whole team was present for the workout in the afternoon heat before heading to the gym for sessions in which they split into groups for different drills.

HOW MANY SPORTS CAN YOU PLAY?
Following on from training and media duties (keep an eye out for all of our Germany content), the players had a free afternoon to use the facilities at the adidas campus.
Maya Le Tissier and Lucia Garcia were greatly enjoying playing members of staff on the tennis courts.
The game finished in a draw, although there were calls of biased decisions being made by Gemma Evans in the umpire’s chair!
With use of the basketball, beach volleyball and padel courts also available, the players made sure they had a go at everything.
Lisa Naalsund was particularly handy on the padel court.

THE FINAL EVENING
As it’s the last night of the training camp in Germany, the team will be heading into Nuremberg for a meal together before getting ready to travel back to the UK tomorrow.
The Reds have one final training session in the morning before it’s time to leave the sunshine and warmth of Germany.
It’s been a fantastic week at the adidas campus, and we’ll now return to Manchester ahead of our next pre-season test, against Liverpool on Wednesday (13 September).
