Reds react to Arsenal win
Only two teams had previously completed a Women’s Super League double over Arsenal, and on Wednesday night Manchester United became the third to do so.
Alessia Russo’s first-half strike, after excellent work from Nikita Parris down the right, secured the win for Marc Skinner’s side.
After a triumphant win at the Emirates back in November, the victory at Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday was our second win against the Gunners this term.
With 18 games down and four to go, the Reds remain grounded and aren't looking too far ahead.

Full-back pairing Ona Batlle and Hannah Blundell both took a moment to thank the 6,000-plus fans who were in full voice at Leigh Sports Village.
“Unreal support last night Reds,” Batlle wrote on Instagram.
“Fans were incredible once again last night,” Blundell added.
United have four games remaining in the WSL, as well as an FA Cup final, and are currently four points clear at the top of the table ahead of second-placed Chelsea, who have two games in-hand.
