United Women reach match tickets milestone

Thursday 01 February 2024 15:45

In a campaign that has seen record demand for season tickets, Manchester United Women have now reached another ticketing milestone, thanks to your support.

Another excellent turnout in last Sunday’s win over Aston Villa means we have now surpassed 100,000 tickets sold; it's the quickest we've reached that figure in any of the five seasons since we reformed in 2018/19.

The total for 2023/24 so far includes our first women's Manchester derby to be played at Old Trafford.

United Women's head coach, Marc Skinner, said: "Home or away, we hear the fans loud and proud at every single game. It gives us so much energy on the field and we want to keep performing and putting on great games for you. We'll continue to give it our all on the pitch in the second half of the season, with your help from the stands."

Reds captain Katie Zelem echoed his sentiment, adding: "Our fans are like the 12th player for us on the pitch. The atmosphere you create at Leigh makes it hard for any team to come to, and gives us that extra push, especially late on in games. So we hope to see as many of you as possible during the rest of the season."
