Who has Amorim picked for derby day?

Sunday 06 April 2025 15:15

Ruben Amorim has selected the Manchester United side for his first home derby with local rivals City.

Our head coach knows victory in the 16:30 BST kick-off would secure a Premier League double over the Blues, following the 2-1 comeback win at the Etihad Stadium at the end of last year.

United have a crucial Europa League date with Lyon on Thursday, with the quarter-final tie gaining so much importance to the season, but the local affair at Old Trafford this afternoon is sure to be another huge occasion.

ARRIVALS CLIP | Luke Shaw has arrived at Old Trafford! Is he in the squad, or even the XI? Find out at 15:15 BST...

Luke Shaw is back in a matchday squad for the first time since the 4-0 win over Everton on 1 December.

The England defender is among the substitutes, and is joined on the bench by Joshua Zirkzee, with Rasmus Hojlund recalled to the starting XI.

There is a youthful element to a section of the bench with Harry Amass, Godwill Kukonki and Chido Obi all included, but Ayden Heaven is not rushed back.
