Well-known Chinese entertainer and the club’s Red Devil Messenger, Lu Han, visited Manchester recently, five years since his last trip.

Lu Han met the men’s first-team squad at Carrington during a training session and “showed his football skills” on the pitch afterwards.

The multitalented performer watched our 2-0 win over Everton in the Premier League, greeting Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand pitchside, two of the club legends back in the era when he started to follow United.

As an avid Reds supporter, Lu Han described Old Trafford as “home”. A trip back home as such is no different from an ultimate dream coming true for him.

In 2019, we announced Lu Han as the ‘Red Devil Messenger’ during his first visit to Old Trafford. He has since remained close to United and has been featured in various club campaigns including Chinese New Year.

Moreover, in 2020 he lined up with MU Foundation and Official Supporters’ Clubs in China and donated football equipment and kit to school kids via a football charity program which he established.

During his visit at Carrington, Lu Han dropped in to talk about his fandom of Man United on our Man Talk: You Didn’t Know show. He revealed Kobbie Mainoo is his favourite player in the current squad, and shared stories behind his fandom.

You can watch the full episode, as well as other content created from Lu Han’s visit, via the club’s Chinese social media channels.
