2024/25 Women's Player of the Year vote open
It's that time in the season when we ask for your help in deciding the latest winner of the esteemed Manchester United Women's Player of the Year trophy, presented by adidas.
Competition for the 2024/25 award is set to be high, with standout individual contributions coming from all areas of the squad, in a largely successful campaign for Marc Skinner's side.
The Reds have already secured a return to the Champions League for next season by finishing as one of the Women's Super League's top-three teams for just the second time in our history.
Now, we'll bid to add a trophy to that league feat in our term-concluding outing this weekend, as we play to defend the Adobe Women's FA Cup crown in Sunday's Wembley final against Chelsea.
Before our big date under the arch, you can have your say on who has been the team's standout performer this term in our official Women's Player of the Year poll, included above.
It features every Red who is currently in the squad and has made at least one appearance for us across all competitions in 2024/25.
It's quick and easy to vote too, simply scroll through the list of players and click on the name of your choice to submit your selection. You must, however, be a registered user to vote, so be sure to sign up now if you haven't already.
Midfielders Grace Clinton and Ella Toone, along with our WSL Golden Glove-winning goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce, are likely to be frontrunners for the prize if our Player of the Month results for the season are anything to go by. The trio have won that award, also fan-voted, twice each in 2024/25.
Top scorer Elisabeth Terland has also come out on top in those stakes, and is sure to be a favourite among fans, having become just the third United player to net double figures for WSL goals in a single campaign after scoring 10 over the course of her debut season.
Centre-back Maya Le Tissier, meanwhile, is the only member of Skinner's squad to have played every minute of our 30 competitive matches so far. The 23-year-old has been a mainstay of an impressive defence during her first term as captain.
Toone is United Women's Player of the Year
ArticleElla's stellar performances across 2023/24 have been recognised in our official fans' poll.
The honourable holder of our Player of the Year prize is two-time winner Toone, who could make it a hat-trick of successes this year after claiming the award in 2022 and 2024, either side of Alessia Russo being the recipient in 2023.
Former captain Katie Zelem was recognised for her efforts in our United Women's inaugural season with the accolade for 2018/19, before Hayley Ladd and Ona Batlle won it for their respective debut seasons over the following two years.
The next victor will be announced across our channels when the poll closes on Saturday. Good luck to all our Reds!
