Matheus Cunha is set to represent Brazil in their upcoming World Cup qualifying games.

The forward's move from Wolves to Manchester United has been agreed, with the South American just needing to obtain his visa and registration, in order to complete the transfer.

Next on the agenda for the 26-year-old is a pair of big internationals with his homeland, as he has been called up alongside Casemiro and Antony for the games against Ecuador and Paraguay.

The Brazilian forward's transfer from Wolves is subject to visa and registration.

Brazil have not been at their brilliant best in the competition, thus far, and sit fourth in the table on the back of a disappointing 4-1 reverse to arch-rivals Argentina, last time out.

Cunha scored his first senior international goal in that huge fixture, in what was his 13th cap for the Selecao, but only his fourth start.

Carlo Ancelotti has replaced Dorival Jnr as coach and said: "These two matches are very important. I have tried to bring in players who are ready and prepared to help the team win."

Former Red Andreas Pereira is also in the squad with the first match, away to Ecuador, which is always difficult due to the altitude, at 00:00 BST on Friday.

The Paraguay clash follows in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time.

Antony, who has been on loan at Real Betis and played in the Conference League final against Chelsea, was the first of our contingent to meet up with Ancelotti's group in Sao Paulo.

The new era will begin without Barcelona star Raphinha, who is suspended for the game this week in Guayaquil, as Ancelotti prepares to pick his first XI since taking over.
