Who was Erik's star man against Brentford?
Erik ten Hag was emphatic in his assessment of which Manchester United player he felt was star man in the 1-0 victory over Brentford.
The manager provided a detailed analysis of his side's vital win, which moves us back into the coveted top-four positions, ahead of Tottenham.
When asked about the team's display, and there were several excellent performers, it was clear that captain Bruno Fernandes was the individual who impressed the Dutchman the most.
"Rashy's performances are outstanding," he said of the matchwinner Marcus Rashford. "What he is doing, that is great. But, for me, the best player on the pitch was Bruno Fernandes. By far. I think he dictated the game from the start until the end."
In a separate interview with the official broadcasters at Old Trafford, Ten Hag reiterated: "Bruno was a little bit deeper and I think he was brilliant today. For me, the best player on the pitch. He dictated the game and led us to the win."
Bruno is our reigning Player of the Month, after scooping March's award for his efforts, but the fans voted Rashford as Man of the Match, using the United App.
Scott McTominay was in second spot, after a tenacious performance in the engine room, but there were several eye-catching displays as the Reds bounced back from Sunday's disappointing defeat and performance at Newcastle United.
