Who was Man of the Match at Wembley?

Manchester United fans voted in their thousands, as always, for our official Man of the Match, following the Emirates FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton & Hove Albion on penalties.

The Reds won 7-6 on spot-kicks after a goalless draw across 120 minutes, with Victor Lindelof firing the winning strike past Robert Sanchez, straight after Solly March blazed over.

It came on the back of an impressive display at the heart of the defence by the Sweden captain, who partnered Luke Shaw in the middle.

It proved enough for Victor to pick up our Man-of-the-Match award, with keeper David De Gea his closest rival.

Lindelof picked up 34 per cent, with De Gea next best on 23% after keeping a clean sheet, with one save from Julio Enciso right out of the top drawer.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, outstanding at right-back in snuffing out the threat of Kaoru Mitoma, came in third, just ahead of Bruno Fernandes, with both United players going off with what looked like knocks.

Lindelof has shown his quality and how dependable he is, particularly in the current absence of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane. With Harry Maguire suspended for the Seagulls semi-final, he stepped up to the plate in splendid fashion.

This was his first star-man award since the Europa League victory over Granada in April 2021, and it is thoroughly deserved.

Congratulations, Victor!
