Melvine Malard began her career with Saint-Denis FC, on the French island of Reunion, and joined Lyon in 2014, where she went on to collect multiple European and domestic titles. Malard has also represented France, featuring for her nation from Under-16s all the way through to senior football. On 15 September 2023, Melvine's loan move from Lyon to Manchester United was confirmed and she scored seven goals during her temporary spell. The deal was made permanent on 12 July 2024, after Malard had been part of our FA Cup winning squad. The striker grew to become a leading creative force for the Reds, and registered a club-best 19 goal involvements across all competitions in 2025/26.
