First-half strikes from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko put the Reds in control, with Bruno Fernandes close to adding a third, only for goalkeeper Robin Roefs to tip his strike onto the bar. Sunderland had more of the second half but there were still chances for the Reds who, while unable to add to our advantage, kept the visitors at the bay well - helped by debutant Senne Lammens earning a clean sheet in goal; our first of the season.
