Galton: Every game in this league is a test

Leah Galton insists that every game in the Women's Super League is a 'test' ahead of our latest challenge against reigning champions Chelsea.

The winger is currently flying in the WSL so far, with a combined five goals and assists in as many games.

And while a tough opponent awaits us in the form of the Blues, Galton sees it as another test for us.

“I'm excited [for the game],” she told club media. “I think every game in this league is a test.

Galton: It's a big testvideo

“We've just got to face this one, and it'll be a big one, so I'm very excited for it.”

Galton is keen for us to show our consistency by picking up three points in front of our home fans on Sunday.

“I think as a team, as a collective, it shows us that we're consistent if we do go and get the three points, which is what we're looking to do.”

And the squad's togetherness could be the key factor between winning and losing, according to the 28-year-old.

“I think if you're all together, and you're on the same page, it helps a lot.

”We've just got to go and give it our best.“

Galton was on target to score - and assist - against Everton last time out

Another big crowd is set to dawn on Leigh Sports Village as United and Chelsea go head-to-head for the first time this season, and Galton is relishing playing in front of them once again.

“For me, it's exciting. The bigger [crowd], the better,” She said.

“If you put in a big tackle, or you win a good header, you hear the fans behind you so you know they're there and they make you want to do well.”
