Manchester United's 2-1 win at Liverpool has obviously sparked plenty of stats and figures but one element of the sweet victory has been the fact it was achieved at the home of the current champions.
Due to our success by the same scoreline away to Manchester City last season, in Ruben Amorim's first derby, Opta have noted the significance of our head coach pulling off such huge results in the big games.
For a bit of context, it is the first time United have beaten the defending English champions on the road in back-to-back league seasons since 1907/08.
In our first title-winning campaign, Ernest Mangnall's side thrashed Newcastle United 6-1 at St James' Park, with George Wall scoring twice. Billy Meredith, Jimmy Turnbull, Sandy Turnbull and Charlie Roberts also found the net in the October fixture and it remains our biggest-ever win on the Magpies' home turf.
This came after Sandy Turnbull's first-half strike settled a clash at Liverpool in the previous term, as the Merseysiders failed to defend the trophy.
Much more recently, in terms of the Premier League era, only two managers have previously managed to gain three points in each of their first two away games playing against the champions in the division.
Manuel Pellegrini and Antonio Conte are the men in question.
In April 2016, Pellegrini's Blues won 3-0 at Chelsea, thanks to a Sergio Aguero hat-trick, after a victory by the same scoreline at Old Trafford, during his first season in charge (2013/14).
Conte, during his time at Chelsea, defeated Leicester City, en route to winning the league in 2016/17, and also oversaw Tottenham Hotspur's 3-2 triumph at Manchester City in February 2022, when Harry Kane bagged an injury-time winner.
Furthermore, Ruben is the only boss to secure away wins at both Anfield and the Etihad Stadium across the last five seasons of the Premier League.
It hopefully bodes well for the Reds, as we look forward to more challenges to come, beginning with Saturday's visit of in-form Brighton & Hove Albion to Old Trafford for a 17:30 BST kick-off.
