Manchester United’s dramatic win at Southampton set a new club record of eight successive top-flight victories on the road.
Edinson Cavani’s injury-time winner on the south coast did not just secure three important Premier League points, it also mean Ole Gunnar Solskjaer breaks another record as United manager.
The Reds had equalled our previous best winning-streak in away league games of seven with the 3-1 success at Everton. That existing record was set between April and August in 1993, with United beating Norwich (twice), Coventry City, Crystal Palace, Wimbledon, Aston Villa and Southampton.
Our last away defeat in the league came in January, when eventual champions Liverpool beat us 2-0 at Anfield.
Bruno Fernandes has scored seven times during that run and Edinson Cavani, with the two goals against Southampton, is joint-second on the list with three goals, alongside Marcus Rashford.
It is worth adding we have also won both our domestic away games in the Carabao Cup this term, at Luton Town and Brighton.
