After more than three months, Manchester United Women will be back playing in front of a home crowd when Marc Skinner's team take on Liverpool this Wednesday.
The clash with our North West rivals at Leigh Sports Village is our final outing of pre-season and a last opportunity for the Reds to fine tune preparations before next week's season opener in Sweden.
Kick-off on Wednesday is at 19:00 BST and fans are welcome to attend. Here's everything else you need to know...
HOW TO WATCH
A limited number of tickets are available for the midweek encounter, on sale here. Entry is priced at just £4 for adults and supporters aged 16 to 20, while under 16s and over 66s can come along for just £2.
If you're not able to get to Leigh to support the team, the game will be shown live and across the world on MUTV, ManUtd.com and in the United App for subscribers, with coverage starting at 18:55 BST.
Not subscribed? Here's how you can sign up ahead of the match and access further benefits, including live football during the season, plus a range of original shows and boxsets.
TEAM NEWS
Might there be some new faces in the United ranks at Leigh on Wednesday? Midfielder Julia Zigiotti Olme, who became our first signing of the summer when she joined from Bayern Munich at the end of July, has featured in each of our last two pre-season games and could well make her home debut against Liverpool.
Meanwhile, fellow off-season recruit and Zigiotti Olme's Swedish compatriot Fridolina Rolfo followed her international team-mate through the door last week - after four years at Barcelona - and would be making her first appearance for the club, should she play.
As far as further United team news goes, Grace Clinton, Maya Le Tissier and Ella Toone are all back from their European Championship-winning exploits with England over the summer and played in Saturday's victory over Real Betis, so could bank further minutes at LSV.
The same can be said for Melvine Malard, who scored twice on her return from representing France at the tournament, in the weekend's 8-0 triumph - the most recent of our three pre-season matches to date.
PRE-SEASON SO FAR
Saturday's aforementioned win over Real Betis capped a positive training camp in Marbella, before which the Reds got back into the matchday groove with fixtures against two fellow WSL sides.
Goals from Leah Galton and Gabby George saw United kick off the summer schedule by beating Aston Villa 2-0 at Carrington, before a goalless draw away to Manchester City.
All three games to date have been played behind closed doors, but you can read our reports from the battles with Villa, City and Betis - and see highlights from the latter below, featuring strikes from Anna Sandberg and Jess Anderson, either side of braces struck by Celin Bizet, Malard and Elisabeth Terland.
THE OPPOSITION
Wednesday's fixture is also scheduled to be a final pre-season tester for our WSL opponents, who are at the beginning of a new era under recently appointed head coach Gareth Taylor after a seventh-placed finish in 2024/25.
Taylor left the corresponding position at Manchester City in March after a five-year spell that included securing silverware for our crosstown rivals in both the FA Cup and League Cup, as well two runners-up finishes in the Women's Super League.
Speaking upon his appointment on Merseyside earlier this month, Taylor said: “Our aim is to create a team that supporters can be proud of, which plays good football and which will hopefully bring success along the way.”
The new boss has since overseen Liverpool's pre-season duels with Aston Villa and Durham, with new signings Rafaela Borggrafe, Lily Woodham, Kirsty Maclean and Sam Kerr all getting minutes in the latter. They could now feature against United, although goalkeeper Rachael Laws won't be involved, having sustained a hand injury that is set to make her miss the start of the new season.
