Experienced senior members of the squad, Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans, both start, with the latter flanked by youngsters Godwill Kukonki and Tyler Fredricson in the three-man defence. The match is likely to be a sentimental occasion for Evans, as the popular centre-back makes his farewell appearance for the club.

Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro provide their top quality guile in midfield, again alongside youth in the shape of Jaydan Kamason and Harry Amass, who will be operating as wing-backs.

Shea Lacey, the exciting Under-18s talent, is handed a chance to impress, with Alejandro Garnacho also selected, in support of centre-forward Rasmus Hojlund.

United: Heaton; Kukonki, Evans, Fredricson; Kamason, Casemiro, Fernandes (c), Amass; Garnacho, Lacey; Hojlund.

Substitutes: Bayindir; Armer, Dorgu, Heaven, Munro, Kone, Collyer, T. Fletcher, Mainoo, Moorhouse, Mount, Thwaites, Ugarte, Amad, Obi.
