Team news for United v Fulham

Joshua Zirkzee has returned to training this week, ahead of Manchester United’s meeting with Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Netherlands international is yet to feature under Michael Carrick, having missed the wins over Manchester City and Arsenal with injury.

However, the forward has been able to work with the group at Carrington again, in a boost for our head coach and his attacking plans.

Dorgu injury update

“Yeah, Josh is back training this week, which is good news,” Carrick said. “Obviously, first time... so he's been out for a short amount of time, but first kind of training with us since we've been here, so that's great to have Josh back.

“Josh has just been trying to work and get fit around the group,” he later added, when asked about rumours linking Zirkzee with a move away.

“He trained yesterday for the first time and that’s as far as it goes with me and Josh.

“I’m looking forward to working with him and nothing more needs to be said.”

Unfortunately, in-form Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu has been ruled out for a period of time, after suffering an issue at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.

Matthijs de Ligt is also not yet ready to return to full training, due to his back complaint.
