Inside United prepares for the 2019/20 season

Tuesday 09 July 2019 12:39

The latest edition of the club magazine Inside United is out today (Tuesday), and the focus is squarely on 2019/20.

In a new-season special, the August edition goes big on all aspects of the Reds’ preparation for the campaign ahead: the return to training, the tour in Australia and Asia (including match previews), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s thoughts and plans, analysis of the 2019/20 fixture programme, input from players such as Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof.

All are covered as the mag comprehensively builds up to the official kick-off of competitive action, against Chelsea on Sunday 11 August.

Of course there are two new faces in the squad, as well. Both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James appear on the front cover of the magazine, and feature prominently inside with the stories of their signings, their first days at the Aon Training Complex and the welcome interviews they conducted with MUTV as they were announced as United players.

New season aside, there’s plenty more to enjoy in the issue, not least an appreciation of the great Sir Bobby Charlton in a continuation of Inside United’s ‘Red Idols’ series.
Robin van Persie takes us back to 2012/13 and one particularly spectacular moment against Aston Villa in a compelling ‘UTD Unscripted’ first-person piece, while there are also the memories of the Treble season from an Old Trafford ball boy, and the big names keep coming with a reminder of what Cristiano Ronaldo achieved in his six seasons as a United player.

The August 2019 edition of Inside United is on sale now in newsagents and at the Old Trafford Megastore, as well as online, where you can also subscribe and have every issue delivered to your door.
