Another award for Maguire

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire's recent performances have been rewarded again, with the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for November.

The defender also picked up the Premier League prize for the same period, after an impressive run of form for the Reds.

He played every minute throughout the month as we won three top-flight games without conceding a goal, against Fulham, Luton Town and Everton.

Maguire and Shaw injury latest

Maguire beat off competition from five other nominees - Jeremy Doku (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Tomas Soucek (West Ham United), Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).

Liverpool's leading goalscorer Mohamed Salah was the previous winner of the PFA award, in both September and October.

Unfortunately, our no.5 was injured in the first half of the UEFA Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The centre-back appeared to hurt his groin and was replaced by Jonny Evans, with manager Erik ten Hag saying the problem will need to be assessed ahead of Sunday's Premier League assignment at Liverpool (16:30 GMT kick-off).
