Action & reaction: Reds 0 Real Sociedad 0

As widely expected after winning the first leg 4-0 in Turin, Manchester United secured safe passage to the next round of the Europa League after completing a comfortable aggregate victory over Real Sociedad.

But there could have been some discomfort on the night at Old Trafford had the visitors from Spain scored an early penalty, awarded when Daniel James fouled Andoni Gortosabel in the 12th minute.

That opportunity from the spot was spurned by Mikel Oyarzabal screwing his kick wide into the Stretford End and from thereon, United looked the most likely side to break the deadlock.

Report: United 0 Real Sociedad 0

Bruno Fernandes hit the woodwork in the first half and substitute Axel Tuanzebe had what would have been his first senior goal for the club ruled out in the second half after a controversial VAR check.

You can see all of these key moments in our short highlights video above, while reaction from United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Tuanzebe and Real Sociedad's former Reds winger Adnan Januzaj can be found below.
