Collect United: a season of digital rewards

The run-in to a memorable season is now upon us and if the start of the Ten Hag era and United Women's opening victory over Reading feel like just yesterday, a quick look at the fixture list shows just how close we are to the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Of course, there’s still so much more to play for. Exciting finales to both our Premier League and Women’s Super League campaigns are incoming, and Wembley is on the horizon in the form of not one, but two FA Cup finals.

For our teams, the focus is very much on the next game. But for Manchester United fans who have been part of the Collect United programme, there are already so many memories to cherish. And more to unlock.

What’s Collect United?

Collect United is a rewards programme for those who have purchased The Devils, which are official Manchester United digital collectibles. The Devils are 7,777 unique digital collectibles created using Web3 technology, powered by the club’s official blockchain, Tezos. Here's a full recap.

Owning a Devil unlocks a wealth of benefits - including private competition entries, a dedicated community on Discord - the club’s unique new social channel - and behind-the-scenes content with players, staff and legends.

As part of Collect United, Devil-holders are sent a new digital collectible every time United win a home league game - commemorating the victory, the players selected, the goalscorers and more.

All Devil-holders are rewarded when United win - when United roar, so do the Devils! And when other major moments occur - think clean sheets, home winning streaks or a coveted hat-trick - more airdrops are triggered, depending on your Devil’s set of traits.

What have fans received?

Since the programme’s launch earlier this spring, 14 collectibles have been triggered for our Devil-holders - capturing some of the season’s biggest moments.

Highlights include:

• Alessia Russo’s three goals in the 5-1 victory over Leicester, which triggered our first ever hat-trick reward
• Our women’s team’s three consecutive home wins over Leicester, West Ham and Arsenal, which unlocked a ‘three-in-a-row’ collectible
• A series of clean sheet rewards for our men’s team’s number one, David De Gea, in wins over Brentford and Everton

In addition to the airdrops triggered by on-pitch action, Collect United also accounts for major club moments. The Carabao Cup win in February was commemorated by a special ‘Winners’ collectible, while De Gea’s ever-increasing club clean-sheet record was celebrated via a special one-off drop.

Each collectible lives on in the wallet of its holder and can be looked back upon in years to come as a cherished keepsake, a reminder of the big moments, and a chance to say that its owner was a part of making history.
