Maguire is relishing England's Old Trafford fixture

Harry Maguire is confident that the atmosphere at Old Trafford for England's Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia on Monday will be 'great'.

The Three Lions return to the home of Manchester United for the first time since 2007, with Gareth Southgate's side looking to maintain a 100 per cent record in qualifying.

Kick-off at the Theatre of Dreams on Monday evening is set for 19:45 BST, with North Macedonia the opposition.

Speaking about the prospect of representing his country at the 'best stadium about', Maguire is expecting yet another electric atmosphere.

“It [will] be amazing,” said our captain to club media. “I was really pleased when I saw the game was at Old Trafford.

”It's amazing that all the England lads get the opportunity to come and play there as the home stadium because for me it's the best stadium about.

“I'm sure it'll be another great atmosphere.”

Maguire played the full 90 minutes for Southgate's side in Malta on Friday, as the Three Lions won 4-0.

Luke Shaw also started, while Marcus Rashford made an impact off the bench with his direct running and scintillating pace.

All three Reds will be hoping to play a part once more on Monday at Old Trafford, as England look to extend their lead at the top of qualification Group C.
